The buzz on Sunday’s MBC I am a Singer + Seunggi cooks 2nd place dish on 1N2D

1 Night 2 Days is still my fave variety show, but I’m loving MBC’s new Sunday show, “Survivor: I am a Singer.” And LSGfan isn’t the only one.  This “American Idol” like show featuring 7 older, veteran respected singers (as opposed to Kpop idols) has gotten a lot of buzz since it started airing just a few weeks ago, and already has higher ratings than the previous shows it replaced. But it’s also been mired in controversy all week after only 3 broadcasts because contestant, nation’s singer Kim Gun Mo, was given a second chance to return to the survivor-esque show, despite the public’s votes putting him in last place for his performance…

This is it. Post 4, the last one, in LSGfan’s the Singer Seunggi interview series on Yoon Do Hyun’s Love Letter over the years.  Seunggi and MC Mong together = Love!  They talk about friendship, popularity, and Kim C’s special affection for the guys (making Kim C’s close friend, Yoon Do Hyun, a little jealous!).  Hope Mong finds peace regarding his military exemption case, and a good resolution along the way…

Seunggi – Yoon Do Hyun talk 1N2D [Love Letter, April 2008]

Post 3 of the series on Singer Seunggi’s interviews and performances on Yoon Do Hyun’s Love Letter.  Following his 2006 and 2006 interviews, Seunggi showed up again in 2008 (post 1N2D).  Thus, more of Yoon Do Hyun hyung’s unabashed love for his dongseng! Love this cut because it’s his first time he’s on Love Letter as 1N2D Seunggi!  Watching the interview, I can’t believe this is 3 years ago(!) – talk about going to Antarctica, popularity of the members, Sangeunee (hope he gets better!), and the hardships – stuff relevant to 1N2D now!  And omg, Seunggi hasn’t changed much…

Yoon Do Hyun hearts Seunggi! [Love Letter, 2007 Aug & Nov]

Post 2 of LSGfan’s series on Singer Seunggi’s interviews (English-subbed) and performances on Yoon Do Hyun’s Love Letter.  Following his early 2005/2006 appearances on Love Letter, Seunggi was back in the latter part of 2007 to promote his 3rd album.  He had finished wrapping up his first (supporting role) drama, Famous Princesses – the start of Seunggi’s singing-variety-acting multi-entertainer life.  Yoon Do Hyun hyung really missed him!  Hahaha.  So much so that he had Seunggi on twice!  Check out the August and November 2007 interviews and performances; includes clip of Seunggi’s live rendition of I will Forget (both times!)…

Seunggi on Yoon Do Hyun’s Love Letter [2006 Feb & Sept]

More wrapping up of some previously started video English translations. This is the first of a series of posts on Singer Seunggi’s interviews (English-subbed) and performances on the much loved KBS music program, Yoon Do Hyun’s Love Letter. Unfortunately the show aired its last episode in November 2008 after seven years.

For those who knew Seunggi as an actor first, these interviews are SO interesting! He is definitely STILL very much the same sincere, deep person now in 2011 as he was six years ago when he debuted as a singer. Totally uncanny, in a very good way! And woah, major style change in between 7 months! Definitely, also in a very good way!
