TV Programming Note for Thursday
Per LSGfan’s earlier post, even though KBS Baker King aired its last and 30th episode last week, KBS will air a Baker King special with cast interviews tonight. And because of the Chuseok holiday, both SBS and KBS chose not to air their usual dramas yesterday, and SBS instead will be airing back-to-back episodes 13 and 14 of My Girlfriend is a Gumiho tonight.
Despite the Chuseok holiday, MBC chose to air Playful Kiss yesterday. Without the usual drama competition from KBS and SBS, Playful Kiss had a higher 6.3% AGB tv rating compared to its usual 3% ratings numbers. However, the drama still came in 3rd place (not in top 20) compared to the movies that were aired on SBS (Haeundae = 13.6%) and KBS (The Brothers = 12.5%) at the same time slot.
Since My Girlfriend is a Gumiho is airing two episodes back to back, Ep 13 will compete with KBS Baker King and MBC Playful Kiss, and Ep 14 will go up against KBS Happy Together. MC Yoo’s popular variety show has shown a lot of love to Seunggi in the past; Seunggi guested on both their recent Chuseok Special and Lunar Year special, with the latter special resulting in one of Happy Together’s highest ratings.
We’re in the last 4 eps of MGIG now so it will be difficult to bring in a lot of new viewers at this point. The 2-hour back to back broadcast should be interesting. It can either really engage people or may be overload for others. Hope to see more tv viewers checking in to see these final eps of My Girlfriend is a Gumiho since the eps look to be pretty epic!

In order for both to live, on the 55th day, DW blindly made a decision by passing the bead back to MH thru kissing MH and then fainted. DW woke up at the emergency room and hope that both him and MH can live. On the 55th day, will MH’s 5th tail disappear? MH said it doesn’t matter that she still has 5 tails. MH who has been at DW’s side all this while, her eyes suddenly turn blue. She asked DW to pass some “qi” to her however, nothing happen. I was happy that Daewoong knows that he will die if he gives the bead to MH.. this way, we can see how true is his love for MH…. at least when he strongly wants to give it back to MH, we will be so touched..
I believe DW is willing to give back, because he also knew that without MH’s bead when he fell down the cliff, he would have die then…

ok, I just realized that when DW says what he’s figured about either him or MH dying… it’s Noona that he’s talking to. So Noona I guess finds this fact out… probably from the Vet? Because last week, the Vet was still telling Noona that she not give up in trying to break up and meddle between DW and MH! i’m so curious what Woong-ah is going to feel and want to do once he finds out this part!
