I can’t believe we’re already at the halfway point in the drama. I just don’t want it to end. And even though I want the Hong Sisters to be faithful to a compelling story, I just can’t bear the thought of Daewoong and Miho not being together in the end! Please let it work out in the end!

Ok per usual, Seunggi-related recap mainly around Daewoong and Miho~

Grandpa busts in on a perfectly romantic moment that’s about to happen…

DW pleads his case with Aunt and Grandpa. He says he’s fine and all better, and that it’s because of MH. They think DW is out of his mind and tell him to forget about MH. But DW stands up to them and says: If I stay here with Miho, nothing will go wrong.

DW goes back in and finds MH not looking well. She had experienced chest pains earlier on while he was arguing with his family. At that moment, Grandpa pretends to keel over (common trick used by parents on Kdramas to guilt their kids into doing what they want!).  DW rushes back out and puts him on his back. Amidst all this, DW remembers MH and calls out to her that he’ll be back for her.  Awwww.

But MH has already fallen sick. Her tails come out but then one disappears. She thinks she really must be slowly dying.

In the car, Grandpa says he was faking it and warns DW that if he doesn’t want to see Grandpa really fall sick, then to do as he says. DW demands Aunt stop the car. He says he’ll jump out if she doesn’t stop. He tells them he just needs to make sure MH is okay and then he’ll be back. Love DW standing up for MH!

He runs off back to the rooftop apt. MH convinces DW that she’s fine. DW checks to make sure there’s cider and meat in the fridge and says he’ll be back in a few days, once he’s able to calm Grandpa down.

MH: When Grandpa gets better, come back to our home quickly. Can you come back before the flowers you gave me whither away?

As DW leaves, he goes back up to MH because he can’t hold back… but then his stupid phone rings and snaps him back to reality! Ugh, I was so sure DW was ready to kiss MH, if not for that phone!

DW back in his room at Grandpa’s house. Tries to convince himself that being apart from MH will help him come to his senses.  When a guy has to think this much over something, it probably MEANS something!

Later, DW’s hanging out talking with his best friend, his dog ToongJa! Too cute. Again, trying to convince himself that MH is a fox, not a human.   DW asks the dog if she likes oppa, to which the dog barks loudly in agreement. But then DW says to the dog that he can’t accept her heart because ToongJa’s not human. omg, too cute.

DW obviously misses MH a bunch. So he makes an excuse of needing to walk ToongJa the dog and goes to the rooftop apt. There, DW runs into Noona who’s checking out the apt to see if MH is still around.

Not wavering anymore at all, DW tells Noona that he came by to see MH and that he’s only at Grandpa’s house temporarily (love this new DW!). And to really stick it to Noona, he returns her camcorder gift! Yes!

More of jealous DW. Sees that MH left her phone at the apt and checks her call list and sees a bunch of calls to the Vet! Making another excuse to find MH, DW goes to see the Vet so that his dog can get a checkup.  Once there, crazy tension and absolutely no friendly vibes between DW and Vet.

DW walks back home sadly because he can’t find MH. He’s singing the Hoi Hoi song thinking of MH. At the same time MH is waiting in front of DW’s house but doesn’t want to go in and upset Grandpa so she finally decides to leave. And of course, as expected, DW and MH miss running into each other by a split second.

But then DW notices his name “Woong” spelled out with flower petals on the porch. And super-glued to the sidewalk! LOL. DW runs out and finds MH.  She’s so happy that she hugs DW right away. For the first time DW isn’t shocked at all and smiles about the hug. omg, too cute!

DW, MH, and the dog spend the afternoon together outside in the park area, like a date.  These scenes totally reminded me of the movie You’ve Got Mail! So incredibly cute and romantic. So reminded me of one my perfect dates!

DW introduces ToongJa the dog to Miho the fox. Ha. MH tells ToongJa, rather than a fox, I’m DW’s girlfriend. DW tells MH about how his parents died in a car accident when he was little. He was supposed to die too but Grandpa was by his side for 100 days and DW survived. MH remarks that Grandpa saved DW in the same way MH’s bead did.

Their too-cute-for-words date:  DW teaches MH badminton; of course she hits it way out of the park! They eat burgers on a bench and DW gives up his meat patty for MH. MH shares it with the dog. They go bike cart riding.  Just a perfect afternoon.

But DW has to get back home before dinner because that’s what he promised Grandpa (DW is way more responsible and mature now after meeting MH!). MH realizes that DW had gone back to the apt to find her earlier on and she’s so super happy about it, she keeps teasing him about it. DW again makes up an excuse; he’s gotten very good at that!

MH: I like you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much! [shoots love darts at DW!]

DW is back at home after their lovely date. Trying again to convince himself that he’s not falling for MH, a nine-tailed non-human fox…

Side story with Vet ~ Earlier on, MH went to see the Vet. He tells her each time she loses a tail (8 more times), it’ll get more painful. And tells her to stay by DW’s side and the bead to ease the pain. Seems like Vet is being nice, but then he turns around and tries to convince MH that DW ran away from her and doesn’t like her, and that DW will definitely leave her if he knew she were to become human. Pissed off, MH leaves.

Later, MH has dinner with the Vet and she’s going on and on about how much she loves DW and that’s why she wants to be a human now.  Vet tells MH to leave DW or else the Vet won’t help her.  And that she needs his help to become human.  Pissed off again, MH leaves. Aferwards, Vet says to himself that he’s doing this for her good, afraid she won’t be able to withstand life without DW (omg Vet, if you don’t save our DW, I’m going to be pissed off too!)

Side story with Noona ~ She discovers some fuzzy white tail footage on the camcorder that DW gave back to her. She starts talking to all the different people who know about MH and realizes something is weird. Her dad’s a doctor and she sets up an appointment for DW to get examined so his family can see that he’s in bad shape. Also without DW knowing, Noona gets the friends to bring MH to the hospital too and locks her in a room to get her examined by a doctor. Noona is definitely evil! MH escapes but Noona tells MH she must disappear if she cares about DW.

Back to DW and MH ~ The xrays showed that DW is all better. So he goes back to the rooftop apt with meat to cook MH dinner. He waits around for her and finally she calls. DW’s so happy but tries to act all cool about it. MH asks if DW can come home early, and DW (just to play around) tells her he’s not really missing her so he doesn’t plan to come back early. MH thinks DW doesn’t care for her. DW starts to say that he’s just kidding, but MH doesn’t realize this and tells DW to take care of her bead even though she’s not beside him…

DW: What??!!!
MH: I think I have to disappear from your side…
