Even though ratings weren’t as high as last week’s, I really love Strong Heart when they focus on the stories of the guests like they did on Tuesday. It looks like KBS Win Win was able to grab some of Strong Heart’s viewers – actress Kim Tae Hee (I love her!) was the guest. However, I’m surprised Win Win didn’t have even higher ratings. MBC PD Notebook continues to get decent ratings. The show is supposedly similar to an American version of 20/20 type investigative journalism show. Anyway, a show’s longevity is usually based on the quality of the show and not the particular guest(s) for a given episode so I’m glad Strong Heart is focused on that.
Next week’s Chuseok Special should be pretty funny. Hodong invited hallyustar Ryu Shi Won to be a guest, via telephone call, on Tuesday’s ep. RSW is now the president of his own management company, and one of his entertainers (Rottyful Sky) was on Strong Heart. RSW is huge in Japan and he suggested that he and Seunggi MC the show together next week. Ha. Should be fun.
Hodong also asked who’s more popular, Ryu Shi Won or Seunggi – RSW asks if that’s even a fair comparison! LOL. RSW is super popular in Japan. Bit he did say that Seunggi is a rising star there. Agh, sometimes, when Hodong keeps commenting about Seunggi in this way, I don’t know what ot think about it. I’m sure he means well, but I wish Hodong would stop always bringing attention to Seunggi like that… although fans may like it, I doubt others do. I know Hodong just can’t help it. Anyway, next week’s ep should be hilarious with Ryu Shi Won there.
Per usual Seunggi-related highlights (b/c there’s only so much time)~
Actress Han Chae Ah – Tells story about how she’s the type of girl to totally fall for the guy when in a relationship. And after finding out that her boyfriend had not been honest with her, she demanded they break up, and the guy didn’t even try to salvage the relationship. Hurt by that, she went to his house hoping that he’d want to reconcile but b/c of her pride, she said she was there to demand her money back that she had lent him. He simply agreed to a contract of paying back her money and as she was leaving, she was hoping that he would reach for her and try to get her back… but he didn’t do anything!
A guest suggests that even though the girl thought the guy didn’t care, guys are not thinking that way. They don’t realize that the girl wants them back. To which HCA said isn’t it obvious that I was there b/c I wanted to reconcile?! Hodong agrees with her. But Seunggi says that if he were the guy, he would’ve thought she was there to simply get her money back too. To which, Hodong looks at Seunggi and says, that’s why you don’t get it and girls just like you without you doing anything! Ha.
Seunggi says he’s the type of guy that takes people at their word! Hodong says you have to be able to intuit things, to which Seunggi says why can’t she just tell me to reach out for her… to which everyone’s like omg! Particularly, Hodong (who seems a bit obsessed with Shin Min Ah recently! ha!) – he doesn’t pass the chance to tease Seunggi about MinAh and asks if that’s how he is with her! omg, too funny.
Famous composer/singer Yoo Young Suk – Tells story of how he really liked this girl long time ago, so he learned to play guitar just for her. Being a hopeless romantic, he practiced for 1 year and got quite good; however, the girl never showed interest. (YYS is now currently married to a former Ms. Korea). Hodong said he can totally relate, as both guys are not the most attractive! And we know how excited and out of control Hodong gets when he talks about love…
So Hodong’s going on and on, and he glances over at Seunggi and says, you wouldn’t understand guys like us! LOL. He continues, you just stand there and don’t have to do anything and girls like you but for guys like me, if I just stand there, girls say I’m scary so I have to do something special! Ha. (omg, hodong is both funny and so honest! The 1n2d guys tease him all the time for being so sensitive in real life!)
YYS suggests the MCs narrate the lyrics while he plays the keyboard. 
Hodong takes a stab at the narration… um, not the exact feel you’d want?! :)
Seunggi narrates the lyrics with his smooth, romantic voice… Aw, perfect!
Lots of great Seunggi moments from Tuesday’s ep, so English translations of those video clips will be forthcoming! :)
Additional stories – Shinee’s MinHo talked about wanting to be a professional soccer player when he was a little kid, just like his dad. Shinee’s Key shed tears while talking about his grandma who practically raised him. 2am’s Changmin talked about his army days and was surprised when they showed an old video from his army days. Eunhyunk being funny again by doing a riff on Se7en’s dance!
Se7en was the Strong Heart winner – He told a great story about how he and Rain, during their training days, almost were put in a group together. Usually the tear-jerker stories win so there must’ve been a lot of Se7en fans in the audience (they’re the ones who vote). I actually prefer the more unknown/revealing stories way over the tear-jerker stories; sometimes the guests getting all teary-eyed is a bit too much. Se7en is an amazing story teller. Loved his stories from last week too!
And MCs Seunggi and Hodong from Strong Heart Photodiary. Perhaps in reference to the whole Hodong-Minho-Seunggi story from last week, the caption for the photos: Brothers that get along well! Hodong and Seunggi!
omg, there really is no such thing as “personal space” with Hodong! LOL.

Seunggi shown his hodang tendency many times in the show this episodes huh…and Hodong emphasizes too much on LSG popularity this time again..even though its only as a joke..can’t help but to feel a bit awkward about the whole thing..
…Kim Tae Hee effect causes the ratings to drop a little, well I have to watch the show 1st cause when I only read the short recap..can’t get the feeling that its a good episode…

i know, i don’t think many fans like it when hodong does that. but i think he sees firsthand how ppl respond to seunggi and how they love him. i read on dclsg (after last week’s ep) which didn’t sit too well with fans… that when LSG fans go to the taping, they always make sure to bring something for KHD too so as not to make him feel bad.
i actually watched Win Win all the way through (b/c i love kim tae hee) and she was great. i’m still not into all the MCs, although better than the group they had before. also, i felt like lee kikwang (from beast) was trying to imitate seunggi a lot. he even did a little joke number in thh beginning that reminded me of seunggi’s gag corner.
but watch the strong heart ep. it was fun.
