Scroll to bottom for previous ratings…

Per previous post, I’m not too concerned about the ratings anymore.  Sure, would love to see My Girlfriend is a Gumiho snatch some of Baker King’s viewers, but looks like that’s not happening any time soon.  And per SeungGi’s comments at the press conference, he acknowledged that Baker King was a very good drama, and at the same time he felt confident about his drama to stand on its own as a very good production as well.  And it is!  So that’s most important!

Yay, Daewoong and Miho are back together!  After DW, in his drunken state, asked MH to please leave him at the end of last week’s episode, I was not looking forward to our favorite Hoi~Hoi couple being separated! I thought in typical kdrama fashion, the two would have to separate for a few episodes before they could come back together… but thank you Hong Sisters for bringing DW and MH back together right away!

Again, as this is an LSG fan blog, recap from Woong-ah’s expressive eyes!

DW in his drunken state asks MH to disappear away from him.  This is why drinking is enjoyable, but getting drunk is a problem. Hurt and naive MH decides to grant him his wish and leaves him.

DW wakes up the next morning, slightly hungover and not remembering what happened, and calls out for MH.  After a while, he realizes she is gone.  At first he is sad and feels empty.  He says:  “Miho is really gone. She left me. She really left me.”

He covers his face in anguish. (I started to cringe at this point because I’m thinking, oh no, Seunggi anguished/crying scene feels like it’s going to be some really bad acting, but…) But in actuality, DW is feigning his anguish.  He uncovers his face and says: “Gumiho has finally left me!  This day really did come!”

DW: “FREEDOM!”

DW packs his stuff so he can now go back to live comfortably at grandpa’s house.  But it’s a mix of feelings.  Because he’s developed “jung” (sentimental feelings/memories through close interaction/friendship) with MH, he’s glad to be rid of her but he also can’t help but to be hurt that she left without even saying goodbye…

Arriving at grandpa’s house, DW’s kicking back and relaxing in his room. Constantly reminding himself that he’s so happy that MH is gone.  ok, DW, if you have to keep convincing yourself, this should be a clue!

And of course Noona calls at that moment and he snaps out of it…

But once DW meets up with Noona and tells her that MH has finally left him; he has to convince a skeptical Noona that of course he’s glad that MH’s gone.  Oh DW, you are so clueless!  He’s even wondering aloud (in front of his supposed first love) whether MH is okay and if she’s out digging in trashcans somewhere. LOL.

After drinking with some of his friends, DW returns back to the rooftop apartment with some food and drink to see if maybe MH has perhaps returned.

Unfortunately, no MH.  And so DW, slightly drunk, sits outside and thinks about MH and makes up a song about his friend miho and the hoi hoi part.  He’s obviously missing MH.  I liked that DW came back to the rooftop even before he knew about his health situation; shows that he cares for her but is too clueless to realize it.

The next day, DW and his two buddies are hanging out and DW gets hit by a motorcyclist.  At the hospital, the doctor tells him that he’ll be okay but that the xrays indicate that he had a pretty harsh accident a while back.  But the bad news is that he will not be able to participate in any action acting for a few months.  DW not thrilled about that…

DW realizes that he will need MH’s bead in order to film the action movie, so he returns to the rooftop apartment to try to remember what exactly happened that night that may have made MH leave him and to figure out how he can find her…

After an unsuccessful attempt at convincing the action school teacher to film DW’s scenes much later on, DW remembers that MH had called him from a phone number a while back so he calls that number still listed in his phone.  The number belongs to that crazy ajumma and she tells DW that she just saw MH in the neighborhood…

DW rushes to the rooftop apt…

DW and MH are obviously very happy to see each other again, but in usual DW manner, he spoils the moment by freaking out when MH tells him that she doesn’t have the bead with her right now!  Because although he’s secretly glad to see MH, he’s in denial and is just thinking about the power bead!

Sweet MH says she can hurry up and get the bead so to wait for her. DW waves goodbye to her from the rooftop and is very happy!

DW rushes back home to pack his things and convinces grandpa that he’s working hard to give his all for the acting part!

On the way back to the rooftop, Noona calls.  (Her sense of timing is really quite impeccable!)  In order for Noona not to misunderstand his situation, DW buys a couple ring set for him and Noona.  But on the way, he sees some stuffed animals and thinks of MH and picks up a gift for her too…

Now that Noona thinks that DW won’t be able to act as the main lead in the movie, she is completely disinterested.  This ep makes it clear that she really is just using him.  Anyway, feelings hurt, DW doesn’t give her the couple rings.

Ok, DW if you’re hugging the gift you bought for MH, that should be a sign that she’s the girl that you’re really in love with!  But aside from being clueless, I think DW doesn’t see MH as a love interest primarily because he knows that she is NOT human and is actually a nine-tailed fox.  (which is why HUNTER telling MH not to tell DW that she can become human is cruel.)

MH gives the bead in potion form to DW…

But she tells him that he has to promise to be by her side for 100 days to which DW freaks out and says that’s crazy.  How can I have a nine-tailed fox as a girlfriend?!

MH is sad and says she’ll leave.  DW comes out and is upfront and honest and tells her that in actuality, he is after her magical bead and that he needs it on order to have strength for filming his movie.  And knowing that, does she still want to be his girlfriend for 100 days.

To his surprise, naive MH says she does.  He looks at her with pity and decides that he can’t take advantage of her like that.  I like that DW’s starting to show more of his inner sincere character.

As MH is about to leave, DW in a very charismatic way (I like!) comes out and says that he’ll do it the appropriate way and puts a ring on MH’s finger and says that she will be his girlfriend for exactly 100 days!

And they drink the potions.  DW the blue one and MH the red one.

Daewoong and Miho as boyfriend-girlfriend in Episode 6.  Can’t wait!

  1. BKKTG really have a solid ratings. Although MGIG seems to make tak goo’s ratings are constant only around that number latterly. I’m wondering what will happen next week when HyunJoong’s Mischievous Kiss is aired. Which viewers that will move their channel to MK instead.

anyway, now I’m trying to not really care about MGIG ratings anymore. the drama is not disappointing and has made people, especially me, so addicted to the drama..kk..

and for seunggi, I feel so happy because people recognize his acting ability now. he has succesfully made viewers become more and more in love with him (even, some people says that they’re now starting to open their heart for seunggi haha..), though not a few who dislike him because of his daewoong character. but that is the power of acting, someone can be hated or liked through their character in the drama.

well, Seungi is undoubtly popular, but through mgig he has proven that he’s not only that popular, but he also has a great talent in acting!

Lee Seung Gi the actor, singer, and mc~
how proud I’m being his fans..haha..

Cha Tae Woong-Lee Seung Gi-My Girlfriend is Gumiho-Fighting~~!!

  2. This episode was really funny. I definitely enjoyed it
The grandpa and cha dae woong are so cute when they were shaking their heads together. It is definitely getting more interesting!

  3. wow, that’s a mini-recap there…thanks!

  4. A fan at lee seung gi tieba said the song that was played after the director left the aunt and right before he bumped into dae woong sounded like seung gi’s voice? i listened to it a few times it sounded like seung gi. Does anyone know if that was seung gi or someone else?
