Strong Heart continues to kill it in the ratings! It has definitely become one of the MUST variety shows for entertainers looking to promote their current projects! Love how they continue to mix it up with a wide range of guests all on one show, from older veterans to younger idol singers, and everyone else in between. Only a nation’s MC like HoDong and his “brandname MC” partner combo SeungGi can pull this type of thing off! And the Korean-respectful style of seating the older sunbaes up front and the younger hoobaes giving them a lot of love gives off a really positive vibe. Like past episodes, this was another laugh out loud from start to finish!
Ok, Highlights —
Opening ment with SeungGi playing guitar and singing Smile Boy while HoDong played the part of Kim Yuna from the KB Bank CF- hiarious! How is it that Hodong’s aegyo can be both cute and scary at the same time?! I can only imagine what Yuna will think when she sees that clip! btw, Yuna was recently on SBS Kim Jung Eun’s Chocolate, she’s going to be on SBS Running Man, and so can we expect to see her on SBS Strong Heart soon?! She’s met Hodong from the Kneecap Guru interview, and she knows SeungGi from their CF and duet song… and we know that Kim Yuna only shows for SBS! So PD Park, let’s make it happen!
CN Blue’s Jung Yong Hwa’s continued storyline of his embarrassing debut as MC for the 2009 Inkigayo Daejun. Loved the clips, especially the one of HeeChul and SeungGi having to reel YongHwa in to find his mark! ha ha. YongHwa decides to redeem himself by role-playing MC and interviewing the guests… only to find himself at a loss again! Very cute. Since his debut, he’s had a really positive and well-liked image similar to that of SeungGi, and has often been compared to him. And like SeungGi, he says he hates to dance… so of course Hodong makes him dance!!
2am’s Jin Woon’s reveal about not having any underarm hair, to the degree that people ask if he’s been waxed! LOL. of course Hodong has to ask if that means he doesn’t have any hair on his body! Continued hilarity as he told a story about his one piece of hair that grew on his arm, and how each time he plucked it, something bad would happen. So he decided to leave it alone and at some point it grew the length from his elbow to his wrist!!! Ew! And later he proudly showed off his hairless armpits during Teuk Academy!
Teuk Academy has evolved into a sort of bizarre hidden talent showcase for the guests! Which then requires the guests to finish up by showcasing some sort of funny weird dance. And I absolutely love it! Never was a big follower of Super Junior but I can see why everyone always says such nice things about LeeTuek as the group’s leader. And it’s well known that he, EunHyuk, and ShinDong prepare a ton for the Teuk Academy corner of the show and you can tell because it’s gotten so funny. And someone please give ShinDong an award at the end of the year! Can’t wait to see part 2 next week!
Congrats to SeungGi and Hodong~ one of the best combos on TV!
After midnight SeungGi had tweeted that Byun Hee Bong (his grandfather in My Girlfriend is a Gumiho) had complimented him during their late night filming and that he told SeungGi that he must be tired from doing variety on top of acting. SeungGi tweeted that he would work hard to become a great actor like his sunbae and also that he was touched to see “grandfather” looking out for him. I’m sure SeungGi felt heartened after seeing the Strong Heart ratings this morning! SeungGi~ Fighting!!!
Also, just as an fyi, that My Girlfriend is a Gumiho icon in the top right of the video clip was actually part of the broadcast~ Great to see Strong Heart team showing love for Seunggi and his drama!

when i saw the logo, i thought the theme is about MGIG again, or related to DaeWoong character or what, n with him singing the smile boy. anyway, love the opening! great to see Seunggi sing again n Hodong is so hilarious. would love to see Yuna on the show, Hodong will surely ask her about Seunggi n their cf together ^^

Seeing how playful and fun Yuna was on the interview with hodong for his MBC Kneecap Guru show; and also how she loved to laugh per the Behind the Scenes cuts with her and seunggi for the cf and song… i think she would be fresh and perfect for strong heart. i can only imagine the laughs and cuteness the combo of hodong-seunggi-yuna would bring out!

I haven’t seen the episode yet but I’m sure it’ll be a lot of fun. If in case yuna will be appearing on strong heart, i wonder if he’ll ask her if she’s attracted to seeung gi at least 1% just like what he asked about guys involved with her like leeteuk, jang guen-suk, and the swimmer park taehwan.
